Supply Chain Management

Resilient, responsive supply chains are essential for manufacturers of electronic products. Litmus Electronics works with our clients to evaluate and develop supplier bases that can support them today and tomorrow.

What We Offer

Supplier selection & onboarding

With supply chain disruptions in the electronics sector becoming increasingly frequent, ensuring that you have the right suppliers for your business has never been more important. Whatever level of the BOM you are looking to strengthen, we will work with your team to understand sourcing requirements and create a plan to deliver the best solution in terms of cost, time, quality and ongoing supply-chain resilience.

Activities that we deliver include:

  • Evaluating potential CEMs in the UK and overseas to assess their suitability to deliver new projects including technical capability, scalability, quality performance and commercial alignment.

  • Conducting supplier on boarding processes and audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

  • Approved Supplier List (ASL) reviews to maintain compliance with accreditations such as AS9100.

Supplier performance management

Managing under performance and critical issues within your supply chain can be a time-consuming task, draining valuable resource from your team and risking further escalation if the situation is not resolved efficiently. We provide expert, targeted resource where it is needed to work alongside stakeholders and recover the situation with minimum impact to your wider business operations.

Activities that we deliver include:

  • Conducting supplier audits for product and process to validate that corrective actions are being implemented

  • Crisis management of critical issues, acting as a trusted pair of hands to provide on-the-ground oversight of the supplier response.

  • Development of supplier scorecard processes to drive long term improvements across the supply chain.

Supply chain risk assessment

Taking a proactive view of the supply chain. It is easy to get bogged down in day-to-day operations and not take the time to get perspective. Are you missing opportunities for better value from suppliers? Are there supply trends that you are unaware of?

Activities that we deliver include:

  • One-off review, working with your team and data to evaluate the real risks in your supply chain.

  • A scheduled calendar of continual review activities - weekly, monthly, annually as required.

  • Evaluating single source risks, supplier capacity constraints, component availability exposure, lead-time volatility.

Supply chain recovery

We offer a structured service focused on restoring supply chain continuity, improving supplier performance, and reducing operational risk. We recognise the importance of keeping your supply chain running effectively, and the impact it can have on your operations, commercial management, financial stability, and customer relations.

Activities that we deliver include:

  • Supply chain risk assessment, analysing critical suppliers and dependencies.

  • Shortage and constraint management, working with your team to ensure that shortages and risks are identified and a plan is in place to mitigate the impact.

  • Customer - Manufacturer - Supplier coordination support. It can often be useful to have a neutral party embedded within the process of supply chain recovery. This can drive clarity and transparency and allow for meaningful progress.

“Simon was a huge support to us during the COVID electronics supply crisis. Working hand in hand with external suppliers as well as our procurement and material control teams to ensure that we had the very latest data on component availability and supply. Thanks to this, were able to maximise our vehicle production through an extremely volatile period.”
